Ano Hersonissos

Ano Hersonissos - "Upper" or Old Hersonissos - is the original village that gave the resort its name, set in the hills a little inland from the busy coast. It is the historic heart of the area, with a quiet square, old churches and tavernas where Cretan life carries on at its own pace.
